Def Jam will release the official soundtrack album for the comedy Top Five. The album features the songs from and inspired by the movie by artists including N— In Paris by the film’s producers Jay Z & Kanye West. Also included are tracks by DMX, Public Enemy, LL Cool J, The Roots, Rakim, Salt-N-Pepa, Scarface & more. Questlove who co-scored the film with Ludwig Goransson serves as the project’s executive music producer. The soundtrack will be released on December 9, 2014. Top Five is written and directed by Chris Rock who also stars in the film alongside Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, JB Smoove, Sherri Shepherd, Anders Holm, Romany Malco and Leslie Jones. The comedy premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and will be released nationwide on December 12 by Paramount Pictures.
