Silent Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the Australian drama Around the Block. The album features the songs from the film by such artists as Tuka, Thundamentals, Horrorshow, Half Moon Run, Spit Syndicate, Mann and Kim & more. Also included are a number of tracks from the film’s original score composed by Nick Wales. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 11, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Around the Block is written and directed by Sarah Spillane and stars Christina Ricci, Hunter Page-Lochard, Mark Coles Smith, Jack Thompson, Matt Nable and Ursula Yovich. The movie follows a teen in Sydney, Australia confronts his past with encouragement from a drama teacher and eventually takes control of his future. The drama premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released on DVD on August 5 by Random Media.
