Joseph Bishara has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming horror thriller The Vatican Tapes. The film is directed by Mark Neveldine (Crank, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) and stars Michael Pena, Olivia Dudley, Djimon Hounsou, Dougray Scott, Peter Andersson, Kathleen Robertson, John Patrick Amedori and Alex Sparrow. The movie follows a priest who tries to help a twentysomething woman who seems to cause death and destruction to those around her. Christopher Borrelli has written the screenplay based on an original story by himself and Chris Morgan (Wanted, Fast Five). The Lakeshore Entertainment production is produced by Tom Rosenberg & Gary Lucchesi (Million Dollar Baby, The Lincoln Lawyer, Underworld) and Chris Cowles. Bishara is replacing Faith No More member Mike Patton who has scored Neveldine’s Crank: High Voltage and has previously been announced to score the thriller. No release date has been announced yet for The Vatican Tapes.
Bishara who is best known for his scores for The Conjuring and both Insidious movies also has the horror film Annabelle coming up later this year.
