Christopher Lennertz is composing the score for the upcoming romantic comedy The Wedding Ringer. The film is directed by Jeremy Garelick (screenwriter of The Break-Up) and stars Kevin Hart, Josh Gad, Kaley Cuoco, Affion Crockett, Jorge Garcia, Dan Gill, Corey Holcomb, Ken Howard, Colin Kane, Cloris Leachman, Jenifer Lewis, Alan Ritchson, Mimi Rogers, Ignacio Serricchio, Aaron Takahashi, Olivia Thirlby and Nicky Whelan. Garelick has also written the screenplay with Jay Lavender. The movie follows a man who provides best man services for socially challenged guys and a groom-to-be who has found himself in just such a situation and fabricates the names of not only a best man but nine groomsmen as well. Adam Fields (Donnie Darko, Ravenous) and Will Packer (Stomp the Yard, Takers) are producing the Miramax Films and Screem Gems production. Lennertz has previously scored the Packer-produced and Kevin Hart-starring features Ride Along and Think Like a Man, as well as its sequel. The Wedding Ringer is set to be released on January 16, 2015 by Screen Gems.
Lennertz also has the comedy sequels Horrible Bosses 2 and Think Like a Man Too coming up. The composer of such films as Identity Thief, Ride Along and Adam also recently composed the music for the final episodes of NBC’s Revolution and is also scoring The CW’s Supernatural, which will return for its tenth season this fall.
