La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album for Errol Morris’ documentary The Unknown Known. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland, Batman) who previously collaborated with the documentarian on 2008′s Standard Operating Procedure. The physical version of the soundtrack is now available for pre-order on Amazon and the digital version is available to download here. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. The Unknown Known draws on hours of filmed interviews and previously unpublished material from Donald Rumsfeld’s private archive and looks at the former United States Secretary of Defense’s role in American history from Watergate to 9/11. The movie premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and was released in select theaters and on VOD this past weekend by the Weinstein Company’s Radius label.
