Jeff Cardoni has been hired to score the upcoming HBO comedy Silicon Valley. The show is created by Mike Judge (King of the Hill, Office Space), John Altschuler & Dave Krinsky (Blades of Glory) and stars T.J. Miller, Thomas Middleditch, Josh Brener, Lindsey Broad, Christopher Evan Welch, Amanda Crew, Angela Trimbur, Zach Woods and Kumail Nanjiani. The series follows a group of self-proclaimed sexless, classless geeks as they make their way through the quirky and hilarious world of young tech-entrepreneurship. Judge, Altschuler and Krinsky are also executive producing the project with Scott Rudin (The Social Network, No Country for Old Men, Captain Phillips), Michael Rotenberg (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Reign Over Me) and Tom Lassally (Stay, The To Do List). Silicon Valley is set to premiere on April 6, 2014 and will air every Sunday night on HBO. For updates on the comedy, visit the official show website.
As previously reported, the composer also has the dance movie Step Up: All In and the comedy Miss Meadows coming up. He also continues to score FX’s Wilfred and The League and has composed the music for the Lifetime pilot The Lottery, which has recently been picked up to series. Cardoni has also scored the comedy Authors Anonymous directed by Ellie Kanner and starring Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Chris Klein, Dennis Farina, Dylan Walsh, Jonathan Bennett and Teri Polo. Screen Media Films has just released a trailer for the movie, which will be released on March 18, 2014 on VOD and in select theaters on April 18.
