Jeff Cardoni has been hired to score the upcoming dance movie Step Up: All In. The film is directed by Trish Sie and stars Alyson Stoner, Briana Evigan, Ryan Guzman, Izabella Miko, Adam G. Sevani, Stephen Boss, Chadd Smith and Misha Gabriel Hamilton. In the sequel, all-stars from the previous installments of the series come together in Las Vegas, battling for a victory that could define their dreams and their careers. John Swetnam (Evidence, Into the Storm) has written the screenplay and Adam Shankman & Jennifer Gibgot (Hairspray, Rock of Ages, 17 Again) are producing the project through their Offspring Entertainment company. Aaron Zigman has previously composed the music for the first two installments for the franchise, as well as 2012’s Step Up Revolution, while Bear McCreary scored the third part directed by John Chu. Step Up: All In is set to be released in 3D on July 25, 2014 by Summit Entertainment/Lionsgate.
The composer’s other upcoming projects also include the comedic thriller Miss Meadows starring Katie Holmes and the Lifetime pilot The Lottery.
