La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere release of the score for the 1990 racing drama Days of Thunder directed by Tony Scott and starring Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman and Robert Duvall. The music is composed by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, The Dark Knight, Inception, Gladiator) whose other collaborations with the director include True Romance, The Fan and Crimson Tide. The album features the composer’s score for the Paramount Pictures production, including a number of alternate cues, a rock arrangement of the main titles, as well as the song The Last Note of Freedom performed by David Cloverdale.
