Anton Sanko is composing the score for Amazon’s original series Alpha House. The show is created Academy Award nominee and Pulitzer Prize winner Garry Trudeau (A Doonesbury Special) and stars John Goodman, Clark Johnson, Matt Malloy and Mark Consuelos, Cynthia Nixon, Amy Sedaris, Wanda Sykes and Julie White. The political comedy four misfit senators turned unlikely roommates who move into a house together in Washington DC. Trudeau is producing the project with Elliot Webb and Jonathan Alter. Alpha House is one of Amazon’s first two scripted series and is set to premiere on November 15. One new episode will premiere each week for the the ten following weeks.
Sanko whose previous credits include the horror feature The Possession, the drama Rabbit Hole and HBO’s Big Love has also scored the upcoming thriller Where the Devil Hides. The film is directed by Christian Christiansen (The Roommate, Life Hits) and stars Rufus Sewell, Jennifer Carpenter, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Adelaide Kane, Leah Pipes and Thomas McDonell. The movie follows a small commune dealing with a prophecy that predicts the coming of the devil’s daughter and a sequence of murders that causes panic to spread through the community. Karl Mueller has written the screenplay. Mickey Liddell (The Grey, Disconnect) is producing the project through his LD Entertainment company with Pete Shilaimon (Therese), as well as Michael Zelman. A release date announcement for Where the Devil Hides is expected shortly. As previously reported, Sanko’s other upcoming projects include the horror film Jessabelle and the horror thriller Nurse 3-D coming up.
