Kritzerland has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1993 thriller Rising Sun directed by Philip Kaufman, based on a novel by Michael Crichton who also co-wrote the screenplay and starring Sean Connery, Wesley Snipes and Harvey Keitel. The album features the expanded score from the movie composed and conducted by Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu (Ran, Harakiri, Black Rain), including over 40 minutes of previously unreleased music. The soundtrack also features Duke Ellington’s Single Petal of a Rose and Cole Porter’s Don’t Fence Me In.
