Rupert Gregson-Williams is reuniting with director Frank Coraci on the upcoming romantic comedy Blended. The film stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore as a couple who, after disastrous blind date, are stuck together in a family resort with their children from previous marriages. Bella Thorne, Chelsea Handler, Terry Crews, Kevin Nealon and Joel McHale are co-starring. Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera wrote the screenplay. Sandler is producing the comedy with Jack Giarraputo (50 First Dates, Grown Ups) through his production company Happy Madison Productions, alongside Mike Karz (Valentine’s Day, Killers, Good Luck Chuck). Coraci and Gregson-Williams have previously collaborated on the features Click, Zookeeper and last year’s Here Comes the Boom. Blended is set to be released on May 23, 2014 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Gregson-Williams’ other upcoming projects also include the Adam Sandler- & Kevin James-starring sequel Grown Ups 2, as well as the animated feature Postman Pat: You Know You’re the One.
I wonder and wonder what will Rupert do with a full-blown action movie. He should have his shot. Who knows, maybe he’ll end up in the big league next to his brother, Zimmer and Jablonsky. I believe he has what it takes to craft a truly memobale MV/RC action score. Nothing wrong with working on the Sandler comedies, but I can’t say that his work on them is that memorable.
So give the guy a chance with a big action movie.

The redhead from “Shake It Up” (that’s Bella Thorne, for those unfamiliar with the Disney Channel) and the guy from “Community” worked on the script as well? That would be impressive if it weren’t an obvious typo…
