And I thought the Black Hole was the holiest of holy grails and in a way it was, but this complete score from the okay 76′ film of King Kong is a gift from the gods. The previous releases have been subpar to abysmal with analog hiss and shortened cues with sound bites from the film interlaced with the music. This release will resolve these shortcomings and give a long overdue proper release to one of Barry’s most underrated scores. It’s manna from Heaven for us film score fans.
