According to Variety, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash is attached to score the indie horror thriller Nothing to Fear. The film marks the directorial debut of storyboard artist Anthony Leonardi III (Rango, 47 Ronin) and stars James Tupper, Anne Heche, Rebekah Brandes, Clancy Brown and Ethan Peck. The movie follows a family that moves to a small town seeking a better life, only to to run against a charismatic but emotionally conflicted man of the cloth. Slash is also producing the film with Rob Eric and Michael Williams (Session 9) through his Slasher Films production company. He has previously scored the comedy drama This Is Not a Movie starring Edward Furlong and Peter Coyote. He also has played guitar on a number of high profile film scores, such as Clint Mansell’s The Wrestler and Brian Tyler’s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Anchor Bay has picked up domestic rights to Nothing to Fear. No release date has been announced yet.
