Following our news article from last Saturday about Dario Marianelli scoring Brian De Palma’s Passion, we have just received word from SBS Production that they have accidentally sent out incorrect information and that the composer is not involved in the film at this point. According to the production company, Pino Donaggio is attached to write the music for the drama instead. The project would mark the composer’s first collaboration with De Palma since 1992’s Raising Cain. They have also worked together on Body Double, Dressed to Kill, Carrie, Blow Out and Home Videos. Passion is a remake of the French psychodrama Love Crime (Crime d’amour) and stars Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace. The movie produced by Saïd Ben Saïd (Carnage, Love Crime) is currently in pre-production and shooting is scheduled to begin this March in Berlin. No release date has been set yet.
