A.R. Rahman has signed on to score the upcoming drama Welcome to People. The film directed by Alex Kurtzman (Fringe, Star Trek) centers on a man who is directed by his father’s will to deliver $150.000 to his sister he didn’t know he had. The movie stars Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde, Michelle Pfeiffer and Mark Duplass. Kurtzman co-wrote the screenplay with his regular writing partner Roberto Orci, as well as Jody Lambert. Kurtzman and Orci also produce alongside Bobby Cohen (Jarhead, Revolutionary Road). Welcome to People is currently in post-production and a release date announcement is expected in the near future.
