According to Nathan Barr’s Facebook fan page, the composer has been hired to score the upcoming crime comedy 30 Minutes or Less. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer, who worked with composer David Sardy on the 2009 hit horror comedy Zombieland. In 30 Minutes or Less, two fledgling criminals kidnap a pizza delivery driver and force him to rob a bank within 30 minutes. The comedy stars Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride, Nick Swardson and Michael Pena. Sony Pictures will release the movie on August 12, 2011.
Barr also has the thriller The Ledge coming up. The film directed by Matthew Chapman stars Liv Tyler, Charlie Hunnam, Patrick Wilson and Terrence Howard. The movie about a battle of philosophies between a fundamentalist Christian and an atheist escalates into a lethal battle of wills premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. IFC has picked up domestic rights for the film and is scheduled for a release in late spring of this year.
