Heitor Pereira recently recorded the score for the upcoming romantic comedy A Little Bit of Heaven. The movie centers around a guarded woman who finds out she’s dying of cancer, but when she meets her match, the threat of falling in love is scarier than death. The comedy is directed by Nicole Kassell who previously directed the 2004 indie drama The Woodsman starring Kevin Bacon. A Little Bit of Heaven stars Kate Hudson, Whoopi Goldberg, Gael Garcia Bernal and Kathy Bates. No release date or domestic distribution deal has been announced so far, but the movie is expected to open in 2011.
As previously reported, Pereira also has the comedy From Prada to Nada coming out next year. Surprisingly, there is still no word about a score release for Pereira’s and Pharrell Williams’ score for the animation hit Despicable Me, which recently crossed the $500 Mio. worlwide box office mark to become one of the most successful movies of the year. Four lenghty score tracks have recently been uploaded to the Universal Pictures’ Awards page, which can be accessed by clicking on the Despicable Me poster on the page.
