Rael Jones is composing the original score for the new Hulu original series Harlots. The show is created by Moira Buffini (Jane Eyre, Tamara Drewe) & Alison Newman and stars Samantha Morton, Jessica Brown Findlay, Eloise Smyth and Lesley Manville. The drama is set in 18th century London and centers on a woman who struggles to reconcile her roles as brothel owner and mother to her daughters. Buffini and Newman are also executive producing the project with Alison Owen (Elizabeth, Saving Mr. Banks), Debra Hayward (Les Miserables, Bridget Jones’s Baby) and Alison Carpenter. Harlots will premiere on March 29 in the U.S. on Hulu. The series is co-produced with ITV, where it will air in the UK later this year.
As previously reported, Jones also has the feature drama My Cousin Rachel starring Rachel Weisz & Sam Claflin coming up. The movie will be released in the U.S. on June 9, 2017 by Fox Searchlight.
I really like Rael Jones’ music – I like the music as much as I like the show!
