Steve Jablonsky and Nathan Whitehead have been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Keanu. The film is directed by Peter Atencio (Key and Peele) and stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, alongside Will Forte, Nia Long and Method Man. The movie follows a group of friends posing as drug dealers in order to retrieve a stolen feline. Peele has also co-written the screenplay with Alex Rubens (Key and Peele, Community). Key and Peele are also producing the New Line Cinema production with Peter Principato (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Jessabelle), Paul Young (Married) and Joel Zadak. Keanu is set to be released on April 22, 2015 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Jablonsky’s upcoming projects also include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 and Peter Berg’s Deepwater Horizon. Whitehead also has the WEtv original series South of Hell, Phil Joanou’s The Veil and Dennis Iliadis’ Delirium (previously entitled Home) coming up.
