Roc Nation Records and Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the new film adaptation of the musical Annie. The album features the songs from the film performed by the movie’s cast including Quvenzhané Wallis, Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Amanda Troya, Eden Duncan Smith, Nicolette Pierini and Zoe Colletti. Sia has also contributed music to the soundtrack, including a collaboration with Beck. The soundtrack will be released on November 17, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Annie directed by Will Gluck (Easy A, Friends with Benefits) is set in present day New York and follows a young, happy orphan girl who is taken in by a hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate – advised by his brilliant VP and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor.
