Ennio Morricone is set to reunite with director Giuseppe Tornatore on the director’s upcoming romantic drama The Correspondence. The movie centers on the love affair between a professor and a younger woman working in the same field. No casting deals have been announced yet, but a well-known male actor is reportedly in talks for the leading role. Arturo Paglia and Isabella Cocuzza (The Best Offer) are producing the Paco Cinematografica and Warner Bros Italy production. Morricone’s and Tornatore’s previous collaborations include such films as Cinema Paradiso, Malena, The Legend of 1900, Baaria and last year’s The Best Offer. The Correspondence is set shoot this spring in the UK and Italy and will be released on January 1, 2015 in Italian theaters. (Screen Daily)
As previously reported, Morricone is also attached to score the animated feature The Canterville Ghost.
