Republic Records will release the official soundtrack album for Ben Stiller’s fantasy comedy drama The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The album features the songs from the film, including the original song Stay Out performed by Jose Gonzalez and written by the film’s composer Theodore Shapiro and Craig Wedren (click here for more information about the song). Also included are other songs from and inspired by the movie by artists including Junip, Of Monsters and Men, Rogue Wave, David Bowie, Jack Johnson, Grace Mitchell and Rogue Valley. The soundtrack will be released on December 17, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty stars Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn and Sean Penn. The film based on James Thurber’s classic story follows a magazine photo manager who daydreams of exciting adventures, only to find himself in an adventure of his own when he goes in search of a missing negative.
