Daniel Pemberton has recently recorded his score for the British psychological thriller Blood at Abbey Road Studios in London. The project reunites the composer with director Nick Murphy who previously directed the horror thriller The Awakening starring Rebecca Hall, which is currently playing in limited release with the composer’s soundtrack out on Screamworks Records. Blood stars Paul Bettany and Stephen Graham as two cop brothers who collapse under the weight of their father’s shadow and must investigate a crime they themselves have committed. Mark Strong, Brian Cox and Naomi Battrick are co-starring. Bill Gallagher has written the screenplay based on the BBC drama series Conviction and Pippa Harris (Jarhead), Nicola Shindler and Nick Laws (Fish Tank) are producing the BBC Films production. Sam Mendes (American Beauty) is among the thriller’s executive producers. The movie is expected to be released in 2013.
