holding-the-manSony Music will release a soundtrack album for the Australian drama Holding the Man. The album features the songs from the film by artists including T. Rex, Rufus Wainwright, Bronski Beat, Bryan Ferry, Dave Mason, Roger Hodgson, Dragon, Masters Apprentices & more. Also included are four tracks from the movie’s original score composed by Alan John. The soundtrack will be released on August 21, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Holding the Man is directed by Neil Armfield (Candy) and stars Craig Stott, Ryan Corr, Anthony LaPaglia, Guy Pearce, Kerry Fox and Sarah Snook. The movie and tells the story of young men who fell in love as teenagers and romanced each other for over 15 years. The drama premiered at this year’s Sidney Film Festival will be released in Australia on August 28. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.

    “Dreamer,” a classic song from one of my favorite artists, Roger Hodgson, voice and co-founder of Supertramp, is part of the soundtrack for the film. Very nice artistic touch.
