BBC announced today that Murray Gold (Torchwood, Gentleman Jack, It’s a SinQuizA Very English Scandal) is returning to score the BBC series Doctor Who. The composer who previously scored all episodes between 2005 and 2017 will be collaborating with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales  to compose the music for three special episodes celebrating the shows 60th anniversary with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor (to premiere this November), before Ncuti Gatwa takes control of the TARDIS as the Fifteenth Doctor with his first episode airing over the 2023/2024 holiday season. Segun Akinola has scored the last three seasons starring Jodie Whitaker in the title role.

Gold’s other recent projects include Amazon’s Dead Ringers TV series, which just premiered this past Friday.
