The film’s original music composed by Julian Scherle (Princess of the Row, Heart of the ChampionsBuried: The 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche). Sony Masterworks/Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening semi-wide in around 500 theaters this week following an awards-qualifying run last November is the drama The Son co-written and directed by Florian Zeller and starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Zen McGrath Vanessa Kirby and Anthony Hopkins. Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Lion King, Gladiator, DuneThe Dark Knight) has composed the film’s original music. Opening in select theaters is the comedy drama When You Finish Saving the World written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg and starring Julianne Moore, Finn Wolfhard, Alisha Boe, Jay O. Sanders, Billy Bryk and Eleonore Hendricks. The film’s original music is composed by Emile Mosseri (MinariThe Last Black Man in San Francisco, Homecoming, Kajillionaire). A24 Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and two songs performed by Wolfhard as Ziggy Katz today. Also opening in select U.S. theaters is the British drama After Love written and directed by Aleem Khan and starring Joanna Scanlan, Nathalie Richard, Talid Ariss and Nasser Memarzia. Chris Roe (Mission Control: The Unsung Heroes of Apollo, Death of a Gentleman, Armstrong) has composed the film’s original music. Thirty Six Minutes has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score back in 2021 when the movie opened in the UK. Opening in select U.S. theaters and on VOD today is the Australian drama Blaze co-written and directed by Del Kathryn Barton and starring Julia Savage, Simon Baker, Josh Lawson, Yael Stone and Sofia Hampson. The film’s original music is composed by singer/songwriter Angel Olsen and Sam Petty. No word on a soundtrack release. Opening in select theaters today before premiering next Friday, January 27 on Netflix is the comedy You People co-written and directed by Kenya Barris and starring Jonah Hill, Lauren London, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Eddie Murphy, Nia Long, David Duchovny, Sam Jay, Molly Gordon and Travis Bennett.
