Ernie Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish thriller Prison 77 (Modelo 77). The album features the film’s original music composed by Julio de la Rosa (Smoke & MirrorsJuan of the Dead, Oliver’s WorldUnit 7, Sara’s Notebook, The Plague). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Prison 77 is directed by Alberto Rodríguez and stars Miguel Herrán, Javier Gutiérrez, Fernando Tejero and Catalina Sopelana. The movie is set in 1977 and follows a young accountant facing a long prison sentence who joins forces with other inmates to fight for their rights, sparking a revolution that shakes up the entire prison system. The thriller opened in Spanish theaters this past September. No word on a domestic distribution deal.
