Heather McIntosh (Compliance, The Art of Self-Defense, Z for Zachariah, Partner Track, The Quarry) has composed the original music for the upcoming psychological thriller Cat Person. The film is directed by Susanna Fogel (The Spy Who Dumped Me, Life Partners) and stars Emilia Jones, Nicholas Braun, Geraldine Viswanathan, Hope Davis, Fred Melamed and Isabella Rossellini. The movie is based on a short story by Kristen Roupenian and centers on the brief relationship between a college student working concessions at an arthouse theater and an older frequent moviegoer at the theater. Michelle Ashford (Operation Mincemeat, Masters of Sex) wrote the screenplay. Helen Estabrook (Whiplash, Tully) and Jeremy Steckler (The Old Man & the Gun, Only the Brave) are producing the StudioCanal and Imperative Entertainment production. Cat Person will premiere next month at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

McIntosh also continues to co-score Showtime’s The L Word: Generation Q, which currently airs in its third season every Sunday.
