Angelo Badalamenti (1937-2022)

Angelo Badalamenti has passed away yesterday at age 85 at his home in New Jersey. The composer was best known for his scores for the films of director David Lynch, including Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, The Straight Story & Mulholland Drive, as well as the filmmaker’s TV series Twin Peaks, for which he received three Emmy Award nominations and a Grammy Award. His other scoring credits include Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s The City of Lost Children & A Very Long Engagement, Danny Boyle’s The Beach, Walter Salles’ Dark Water and Neil LaBute’s The Wicker Man. News of Badalamenti’s passing was announced by a family member on Instagram.
