Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Emma, The Phantom of the OpenVita & Virginia, Roar, Munich: The Edge of War) has recently been scoring the upcoming thriller The Tutor. The film is directed by Alice Troughton (The Midwich Cuckoos) and stars Daryl McCormack, Julie Delpy and Richard E. Grant. The movie follows an aspiring and ambitious young author who takes a tutoring position at a legendary writer’s estate, when he realizes that he is engulfed in his hero’s complicated family legacy, which holds a deadly past and threatens his own future. Alex MacKeith wrote the screenplay. Camille Gatin (The Girl with All the Gifts) is producing the project for Poison Chef, alongside Cassandra Sigsgaard (Nina Forever) for Jeva Films, Judy Tossell (The Exception) for Egoli Tossell Pictures and Fabien Westerhoff for Constellation Productions. The Tutor is currently in post-production and will be released in the U.S. in 2023 by Bleecker Street.

Waller-Bridge’s other recent projects include the animated holiday special The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, which will debut this Christmas in the UK on BBC One and will premiere in the U.S. and other markets on Apple TV+.
