Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Florence Kasumba, Winston Duke and Michaela Coel. The film’s original score is composed by Ludwig Göransson (The Mandalorian, Creed, Tenet, Community, Turning Red). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details) and a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from and inspired by the movie was released last Friday by Hollywood & Roc Nation Records & Def Jam Recordings (click here for more information).

Opening in select theaters today is the coming-of-age drama The Fabelmans directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Gabriel LaBelle, Seth Rogen, Julia Butters, Robin Bartlett, Jeannie Berlin, Keeley Karsten and Judd Hirsch. John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Jaws, E.T. The Extra-TerrestrialSchindler’s List) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as several classical pieces today. Also opening in select theaters today before premiering on December 9 on Netflix is the animated feature Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio directed by del Toro & Mark Gustafson and starring Ewan McGregor, David Bradley, Christoph Waltz, Gregory Mann, Tilda Swinton, Ron Perlman, Burn Gorman, Finn Wolfhard, John Turturro, Cate Blanchett and Tim Blake Nelson. The film’s original score is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Queen) who also co-wrote the movie’s original songs with del Toro & Roeben Katz. Opening in select theaters today before premiering on Apple TV+ next Friday, November 18, is the musical comedy Spirited directed by Sean Anders and starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, Octavia Spencer, Patrick Page, Sunita Mani and Tracy Morgan. Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (Dear Evan HansenThe Greatest Showman) have written the film’s original songs and Dominic Lewis (Bullet Train, The Man in the High Castle, Peter Rabbit, Money Monster) has composed the film’s original score. Also opening in select theaters today before coming out on VOD next Friday, November 18, is the comedy drama Sam & Kate written and directed by Darren Le Gallo and starring Jake Hoffman, Schulyer Fisk, Sissy Spacek and Dustin Hoffman. The film’s original score is composed by The Cure’s Roger O’Donnell. Fisk also contributed the original song Life After, which was released as a digital single last week. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the action thriller Paradise City directed by Chuck Russell and starring John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Blake Jenner, Stephen Dorff and Praya Lundberg. The film’s original music is composed by Steven Price (GravityOur Planet, Last Night in Soho, Suicide Squad, Fury, Over the Moon, The Aeronauts).
