Republic Records will release a soundtrack album for the musical comedy Spirited. The album features the film’s original songs written by Academy Award, Grammy Award and Tony Award winners Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, A Christmas Story: The Musical, La La Land) and performed by cast members including Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, Octavia Spencer, Sunita Mani, Patrick Page, Tracy Morgan & others. The soundtrack will be released on November 18 and is now available for pre-order here (digital version) and on Amazon (CD version). A first song (Bringin’ Back Christmas performed by Reynolds & The Spirited Ensemble) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out below. Spirited is directed by Sean Anders and written by Anders & John Morris is based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, told from the perspective of the ghosts. The movie will be released in select theaters on November 11 before premiering on November 18 on Apple TV+.
