Composers Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (OzarkThe Outsider, The GiftThe Staircase, Boy ErasedEnemy, Tokyo ViceThe Devil All the Time, Fear the Walking Dead) are reteaming with Dave Franco on the actor’s second directorial feature, Somebody I Used to Know. The film starring Alison Brie, Jay Ellis, Kiersey Clemons, Julie Hagerty, Amy Sedaris, Haley Joel Osment, Danny Pudi, Zoe Chao, Olga Merediz, Evan Jonigkeit, Ayden Mayeri and Kelvin Yu follows a workaholic on a trip to her hometown that makes her start to question all of her prior life choices.Franco & Brie also co-wrote the screenplay for the romantic comedy. Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey & Isaac Klausner (The Maze Runner, The Fault in Our Stars) are producing the project for Temple Hill Entertainment, alongside Ben Stillman & Michael Heimler (I Care a Lot, Memory) and Leigh Kittay for Black Bear Pictures. Bensi & Jurriaans have previously scored Franco’s feature directorial debut, The Rental. Somebody I Used to Know is expected to premiere in late 2022 or early 2023 on Amazon Prime.

Bensi’s & Jurriaans’ other recent feature projects include Saela Davis’ & Anna Rose Holmer’s God’s Creatures, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
