Sarah Warne (Humans, TimeHollington DriveThe Drowning, Our House, Dark Money) has been hired to score the upcoming ITV drama The Long Shadow. The show is written by George Kay (Lupin, Criminal) based on Michael Bilton’s book Wicked Beyond Belief: The Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper and stars Daniel Mays, Katherine Kelly and David Morrissey. The series centers on one of the most notorious and shocking serial killer cases in the world, the hunt for Peter Sutcliffe, dubbed the Yorkshire Ripper, between October 1975 and January 1981. Kay and Bilton are also producing the New Pictures production with Charlie Pattinson, Willow Grylls & Elaine Pyke (The Missing, Requiem), as well as Paul Whittington (The Murders at White House Farm, Hatton Gordon) who is also directing. Warne has previously scored New Pictures’ miniseries Des. The Long Shadow will premiere later this year on ITV.

Warne has also recently scored the Sky docuseries Once Upon a Time in Londongrad, which just premiered last month on Sky.
