Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Vikings: Valhalla. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award winner Trevor Morris (The Tudors, The Borgias, Olympus/London Has Fallen, Immortals, Iron Fist, Big Sky, Castlevania). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 4 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released multiple soundtracks featuring Morris’ music from History’s original Vikings series. Vikings: Valhalla is created by Jeb Stuart and stars Sam Corlett, Leo Suter, Frida Gustavsson, Asbjørn Krogh Nissen, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Laura Berlin, David Oakes, Caroline Henderson, Lujza Richter, Søren Pilmark and Pollyanna McIntosh. The historical drama is set over a thousand years ago in the early 11th century and chronicles the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived: the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson, his fiery and headstrong sister and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson. The full first season of the series was released last Friday and is now available to stream on Netflix.
