94th Academy Awards Nominations Announced

oscars9 This morning, the nominations for the 94th Academy Awards were announced. Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of the last year will be presented on Oscar Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center and will be televised live in the U.S. on the ABC Television Network at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. Here are the music-related nominations:

Among the score composers, Hans Zimmer (previous winner for The Lion King) received his twelfth nomination. Alberto Iglesias earned his fourth nomination, Nicholas Britell was honored with his third nomination and Jonny Greenwood was nominated for the second time. Germaine Franco is the only first time nominees.
