Dubois Records will release a soundtrack album for Paul Verhoeven’s drama Benedetta. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Anne Dudley (The Full MontyThe Crying Game, Elle, American History XPoldark, Black Book, The Hustle). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 25. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album. Benedetta is co-written and directed by Verhoeven and stars Virginie Efira, Charlotte Rampling, Daphné Patakia, Lambert Wilson, Olivier Rabourdin and Herve Pierr. The movie is based on a true story and follows a 17th-century nun who becomes entangled in a forbidden lesbian affair with a novice and whose shocking religious vision threaten to shake the Church to its core. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, was released in select U.S. theaters last month by IFC Films and is now also available on VOD.
