Nathan Johnson has confirmed in a recent interview with Film Music Institute that he is returning to score the upcoming sequel Knives Out 2. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and stars Daniel Craig (who reprises his role as Benoit Blanc), as well as new cast members Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline and Jessica Henwick. No plot details have been announced yet. Rian Johnson is also producing the project with Ram Bergman (Don Jon, Self/less). In addition to the original 2019 Knives Out film, Nathan Johnson has previously scored all of the director’s other features (Brick, The Brothers Bloom & Looper) with the exception of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Knives Out 2 is expected to premiere in late 2022 on Netflix.

Johnson’s other recent projects include Guillermo del Toro’s Nightmare Alley, which is currently in playing in theaters nationwide.
