Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the French musical comedy drama Aline. The album features the Celine Dion songs from the film performed by Victoria Sio, the singing voice of the movie’s title character (portrayed by Valérie Lemercier). Also included is Elvis Presley’s Love Me Tender and Rufus Wainwright’s Going to a Town. The soundtrack will be released this Friday, November 19 and will be available to stream/download here. A CD version is available to order as an import on Amazon. Aline is co-written and directed by Lemercier and also stars Sylvain Marcel, Danielle Fichaud, DieuRoc LaFortune, Antoine Vézina, Pascale Desrochers and Jean-Noël Brouté. The movie is inspired by the life of Celine Dion and follows a young woman who grows up in a large Canadian family in the 1960s and – after being discovered as a teenager – becomes a global sensation. The dramedy just opened in French theaters last week. Roadside Attractions has picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in the U.S. next year.
