Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French documentary Above Water (Marcher sur l’eau). The album features the film’s original music composed by Uèle Lamore. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (or any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Above Water directed by Aïssa Maïga is set in a tiny village in Niger, one of the sub-Saharan countries hardest hit by global warming and follows a 14-year old girl who travels several kilometers each day under the beating sun to fetch water.The documentary produced by Orange Studios premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and just made its U.S. debut last week at the Colcoa Film Festival. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
