Minority Records has released a soundtrack album for the Czech biographical drama Zátopek. The album features the film’s original music composed by Beata Hlavenková. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Zátopek is co-written and directed by David Ondrícek and stars Václav Neužil, James Frecheville, Martha Issová, Robert Mikluš, Gabriel Andrews and Sinead Phelps. The movie centers on the relationship between Olympic champion Emil Zátopek, the most famous Czech athlete of all time, and Australian running record holder, Ron Clarke. The drama, which premiered last week as the opening night film of this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, is being released in Czech theaters today. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
