La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1982 sci-fi movie Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan directed by Nicholas Meyer and starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelley. The album features the remastered original music from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Glory, Aliens), as well as previously unreleased alternate tracks. The 2-CD includes the score presentation on the first disc and the remastered 1982 soundtrack album, as well as alternate tracks on the second disc. The soundtrack, which is limited to 10,000 copies, will be available to order at noon today on the label’s official website.
