Mike Tuccillo (Shot in the Dark, Out of Omaha) is composing the original score and Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Maniac, Beasts of No Nation) serves as the executive music producer on the upcoming documentary Homeroom. The film is directed by Peter Nicks (The Waiting Room, The Force) and focuses on the lives of Oakland High School’s class of 2020 trying to make the most of their final year in high school amidst a procession of blows. Nicks is also producing the project with Sean Havey. Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth, Waiting for Superman) serves as an executive producer. Homeroom will premiere next month at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

Romer & Tuccillo have previously co-scored Hulu’s Ramy and HBO Max’s Love Life, which have both have been renewed for new seasons. Romer also continues to score ABC’s The Good Doctor (currently in its fourth season) and Netflix’s Atypical, which will return for its fourth and final season in 2021.
