Virgin Records has released the first-ever official soundtrack album for the 1982 action thriller The Soldier written and directed by James Glickenhaus and starring Ken Wahl, Alberta Watson, Joaquim de Almeida William Prince and Klaus Kinski. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tangerine Dream (Legend, Thief, Firestarter, Miracle Mile). The soundtrack is now available to stream here and is also available as part of the new compilation album Pilots Of Purple Twilight – The Virgin Recordings 1980 – 1983, which also features newly remastered versions of the electronic music band’s albums Tangram, Thief, Exit, White Eagle, Logos, Hyperborea, as well as their previously unreleased music for Michael Mann’s The Keep and mroe.
