Composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – FalloutThe LEGO Batman MovieThe Crown, Bad Boys for Life) is reuniting with director Matt Tyrnauer on the upcoming Showtime docu-series The Reagans. The show focuses on the rise and reign of America’s ultimate power couple. The 4-part series explores the many surprisingly unexamined aspects of the Reagan White House, and how Nancy Reagan’s paper-doll image was at odds with the power she ultimately wielded throughout her husband’s presidency. Tyrnauer is also executive producing the project with Corey Reeser and Stephen J. Morrison. Balfe has previously collaborated with Tyrnauer (Valentino: The Last Emperor) on the feature documentaries Studio 54 and Where’s My Roy Cohn?. The Reagans will premiere on November 15, 2020 on Showtime. Visit the official show website for updates.

Balfe’s other upcoming projects include Marvel Studios’ Black Widow, Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible 7 & 8, Chris McKay’s The Tomorrow War,  Camille Griffin’s Silent Night, the animated feature Rumble and Season 2 of HBO/BBC’s His Dark Materials (premiering in the U.S. on November 16).
