Premiering this coming Friday, June 12, is the fantasy adventure Artemis Fowl directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart, Nonzo Anozie, Josh Gad and Judi Dench. The film’s original music is composed by Patrick Doyle (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Brave, Thor, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Sense and Sensibility). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be announced soon. Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix original film Da 5 Bloods directed by Spike Lee and starring Delroy Lindo, Jonathan Majors, Paul Walter Hauser, Jean Reno, Chadwick Boseman, Danny Bilson, Kevin Willmott, Paul DeMeo, Matt Billingsly, Clarke Peters, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Mélanie Thierry Norm Lewis and Jasper Pääkkönen. Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansmanMalcolm X25th HourInside Man) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last week. Also premiering on Friday is the Hulu animated series Crossing Swords created by John Harvatine IV & Tom Root and starring Nicholas Hoult, Luke Evans, Alanna Ubach, Maya Erskine, Yvette Nicole Brown, Seth Green, Tony Hale and Adam Pally. The show’s original music is composed by Randall Crissman (Robot Chicken, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron). The series, which follows a goodhearted hero wannabe who lands his dream job as a squire, only to learn the royal castle is a corrupt hornet’s nest of horny monarchs, crooks and charlatan, will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.
