Michael Brook (Brooklyn, Into the Wild, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Fighter) has composed the original music for the new Netflix original film Tigertail. The film is written and directed by Alan Yang (Master of None) and stars Tzi Ma, Christine Ko, Hayden Szeto, Hong-Chi Lee, Kunjue Li, Fiona Fu, James Saito and Joan Chen. The drama revolves around a man as he reflects on the lost love of his youth and his long-ago journey from Taiwan to America as he begins to reconnect with his estranged daughter. Yang is also producing the project with Charles D. King (Mudbound, Raising Dion), Kim Roth (American Made), and Poppy Hanks (Blast Beat). Tigertail will premiere exclusively on Netflix.
Brook also continues to score Freeform’s Good Trouble, which will return for a third season later this year or in 2021. He is also expected to return as the composer of the second season of Apple TV+’s Little America, which is executive produced by Alan Yang.
