Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Already playing in theaters since Wednesday is the new film adaptation of Little Women written and directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlen, Timothée Chalamet, Chris Cooper, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest HotelThe Shape of WaterThe King’s SpeechHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). Also playing nationwide is the animated feature Spies in Disguise directed by Troy Quane & Nick Bruno and starring Will Smith, Tom Holland, Ben Mendelsohn, Karen Gillan, Rashida Jones, DJ Khaled and Masi Oka. Theodore Shapiro (The Devil Wears PradaGhostbustersBombshellTropic Thunder) has composed the film’s original score. Opening in limited release this weeks is the World War I drama 1917 directed by Sam Mendes and stars George MacKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film’s original music is composed by Thomas Newman (The Shawshank RedemptionAmerican BeautyFinding NemoSkyfallWall-E). Also opening in limited release is the drama Just Mercy directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, Brie Larson, Rob Morgan, Tim Blake Nelson, Rafe Spall, O’Shea Jackson Jr and Karan Kendrick. Another movie opening in limited release is the drama The Song of Names directed by François Girard and starring Tim Roth, Clive Owen, Catherine McCormack, Jonah Hauer-King, Gerran Howell, Luke Doyle and Misha Handley.
