Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, Mickey Mouse, The Lion Guard) has signed on to score the upcoming animated feature Lamya’s Poem. The film is written and directed by Alexander Kronemer (Bilal: A New Breed of Hero) and features the voice talent of Mena Massoud, Millie Davis and Faran Tahir. The movie tells the story of a thirteen-year-old Syrian refugee who tumbles into a dream world where she meets a troubled young poet, and must help him write the poem that will save her life.Sam Kadi (The Citizen) is producing the project, which is financed by Unity Productions Foundation (UPF). No release date has been announced yet for Lamya’s Poet.

Willis has also recently scored Armando Iannucci’s The Personal History of David Copperfield, which premiered at this year’s London Film Festival and will open in U.S. theaters on May 8, 2020.
