Four new movies are opening theaters nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action sequel Terminator: Dark Fate directed by Tim Miller and starring Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta. The film’s original music is composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury RoadBatman v. Superman: Dawn of JusticeDeadpoolAlita: Battle Angel). Also opening wide is the biographical drama Harriet directed by Kasi Lemmons and starring Cynthia Erivo, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr. and Joe Alwyn. Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansmanMalcolm XInside ManThe 25th HourRed Tails) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (click here for more information). Also available now is an original song from the movie performed by Erivo (click here to listen).

Another wide release is the crime drama Motherless Brooklyn directed by Edward Norton and starring Norton himself, Bruce Willis, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Bobby Cannavale, Cherry Jones, Michael Kenneth Williams, Leslie Mann, Alec Baldwin and Willem Dafoe. The film’s original score is composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-VerseSteve Jobs). WaterTower Music has released two soundtrack albums, including an album featuring the composer’s score (click here for more details) and an album featuring Thom Yorke’s original song Daily Battles, tracks by Wynton Marsalis & more (click here for more information).

Also opening wide is the animated feature Arctic Dogs directed by Aaron Woodley and starring Jeremy Renner, Heidi Klum, James Franco, John Cleese, Omar Sy, Michael Madsen, Laurie Holden, Anjelica Huston and Alec Baldwin. David Buckley (The Good WifeThe Forbidden KingdomJason BourneAngel Has Fallen) has composed the film’s original score. Opening in select theaters before premiering on Netflix later this month is the crime drama The Irishman directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, Stephanie Kurtzuba and Jesse Plemons. The film’s original music is composed by Robbie Robertson. Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album featuring Robertson’s Theme for the Irishman, songs by The Five Satins, Fats Domino, Smiley Lewis & others next week. Also opening in limited release is the comedy drama Inside Game directed by Randall Batinkoff and starring Scott Wolf, Eric Mabius, Michael O’Keefe, Lindsey Morgan and Will Sasso. Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Monk, Rome, Pollock, Ugly Betty, Appaloosa, The Biggest Little Farm) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Also opening in select U.S. theaters is the British drama Mrs. Lowry & Son directed by Adrian Noble and starring Timothy Spall and Vanessa Redgrave. Also opening select cities is the drama The Etruscan Smile directed by Oded Binnun & Mihal Brezis and starring Brian Cox, JJ Feild, Thora Birch and Rosanna Arquette. Frank Ilfman (Big Bad WolvesGhost StoriesThe OperativeAbulele) has composed the film’s original music. MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the movie opened overseas (under the title Rory’s Way). Opening in select theaters and on VOD is the indie drama Adopt a Highway written and directed by Logan Marshall-Green and starring Ethan Hawke, Elaine Hendrix, Diane Gaeta, Mo McRae, Chris Sullivan and Betty Gabriel. The film’s original music is composed by singer/songwriter Jason Isbell. No soundtrack album has been released. Another limited release this week is the comedic thriller Spell directed by Brendan Walter and starring Barak Hardley, Jackie Tohn, Magnús Jónsson and Birna Rún Eiríksdóttir. Fall Out Boy member Patrick Stump (Gnome AloneChangeland) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening in select theaters and on VOD is the western Badland written and directed by Justin Lee and starring Kevin Makely, Mira Sorvino, Trace Adkins, Bruce Dern, Tony Todd, Wes Studi and Jeff Fahey. Opening theatrically before premiering on Netflix on November 15 is the thriller Earthquake Bird directed by Wash Westmoreland and starring Alicia Vikander, Naoki Kobayashi, Jack Huston and Riley Keough.
